Tri-TT38
The Tri-TT38 supports the relationships between the 3 values in a times table fact. e.g. 6 x 7 = 42… so 42 / 6 = 7 & 7 x 6 = 42… so 42 / 7 = 6. Calculate from any starting value and in either direction around the triangle to highlight any of 4 related times table facts.
TT38 Pyramids continues on supporting the relationships & links between all values in times table facts. A similar principle to the Tri-TT38 approach with opportunities to extend beyond times tables facts to the next level of calculation.
TT38 Area supports the application of times table facts in the context of the calculation of area. In addition, missing dimensions allow pupils to explore the relationship between multiplication and division facts.
The Classic TT38 questions focuses on improving the awareness & understanding of times tables and arrays. Understanding that 6 x 4 is equal to 4 x 6 and the associated division facts provide a simple and effective foundation for improving times table recall and accuracy.
